LAUNDRY 101

Oct 11, 2023

-Choose a day and commit to that day to do your laundry. Maybe a day that you don’t have classes??

-Separate your clothes by colors-dark, medium, & light. Always wash on cold temperature.

– If there is a stain use oxyclean and then wash. Once the stained clothing has been placed in the dryer the stain will never come out again.

-Towels are always washed separately and in HOT water temperature.

-Bed sheets wash in either warm or cold water depending on fabric.

-Never ever throw white clothes (even socks) with other color loads. Wash separately and if too small of a load then save it for next time.

-Check pockets for air pods, cash, chap stick, Kleenex, etc.

-Jeans are always washed inside out and on a COLD water setting. You can also wash hoodies with jeans. Throw in the dryer for maybe 5-10 minutes and then hang to fully dry. Avoid shrinkage.

-Collared shirts, Henley’s, always wash in COLD water and on DELICATE or HANDWASH setting.

-Never overcrowd your washer and dryer. Clothes will not wash well and it will take soooo long to dry.

-ALWAYS SET A TIMER TO CHECK YOUR CLOTHES SO IT DOES NOT OVER DRY/SHRINK OR OVERHEAT.

When drying clothes clean out the lint so that clothes dry faster.
