Oct 11, 2023

  1.  Let us know where you are going, who you are going with, and when you will be arriving home.
  2.  Your curfew as of now is 11:30pm, but note for formals or prom your curfew can change.
  3.  When arriving home at NIGHT, you must ALWAYS  wake your mother or father to say, “hello, I am home.”
  4. Always know exactly where you are going and how to get there BEFORE leaving the house.
  5. Always have a “FULL CHARGE” before leaving the house during the day or night to drive.
  6. Text us when leaving and arriving in different places. This is ONLY for the first 6 months that you begin driving.
  7. There is no driving on freeways for the first three months.
  8. Never, ever text while driving or check texts while the car is running. No talking on phone while driving either. If it is that important stop and park to call or text.
  9. When passengers are in the car music is to remain low. If friends become rowdy in car and you cannot focus you must pull over and place hazard lights on and calm everyone down.
  1. You are allowed one friend in the car with you per the law until you have been driving over one year.
  2. Always have $20 cash in your wallet at all times for emergencies and $5 in your glove compartment box.
  3. Only pump gas during the day and always be mindful of how much gas you have. Be aware of your surroundings while pumping gas and always lock car doors when pumping gas.
  4. You should know how to call a wrecker if you need road assistance. (Triple AAA)  Have the number and card in your wallet.
  5. You must know what to do if you get stopped by the police. Where is your insurance card? Have drivers license ready.
  6. At anytime if there is a driving ticket or an accident, you will likely lose your driving privilege for a period of time. You will also need to cover some of the car expenses/damages.

Remember you are not an experienced driver and have the luxury of driving your own vehicle. Take pride in yourself and your vehicle. Keep the car clean.  Follow the rules and drive always with caution. Being in a rush is never a good thing so always leave with plenty of time. There is traffic and construction in our city all the time so give yourself time. Better to be early than late. Ask yourself, “what is that car about to do?”  Don’t trust any car to do the “right thing” or follow the law because they don’t .  However, you must do the right thing and follow the law.

Make us PROUD!

We love you very much.  It is not you that we don’t trust you it is the other drivers we don’t trust.
